Description

Mia Göran grew up in Sångshyttan, Sweden. She now lives and works in Oslo, Norway. Mia is daughter of Gerd and Niklas Göran. Originally she is educated as a flutist at The Norwegian Academy of Music (1981) and later recieved PhD in Musicology and Aesthetic Theory on John Cage (University of Oslo 2009). She also attended The Norwegian Academy of Art (1986 -1988). Over the years her vocation for painting has grown into a full time occupation.

Mia explores materiality, ideas, color and timbre. She is working in series with themes and portraits.
